Two Junior Accountants from the Angul Civil Supplies Office (CSO) have been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance officials while accepting a bribe of ₹50,000. The accused, Rajnarayan Sahu and Jiten Patnaik, were caught red-handed taking the bribe from a rice mill manager in exchange for processing bills worth over ₹60 lakh related to fortified rice kernels. According to reports, the manager of Krishna Rice Mill had been requesting the two accountants to release pending payments for fortified rice kernels, but they allegedly demanded ₹50,000 as a bribe. The manager, fed up with the harassment, filed a complaint with Vigilance, leading to the arrest of the two accountants while accepting the bribe.
