ചികിത്സ ഇൻഷുറൻസ് കാര്യത്തിൽ കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ ആവിഷ്കരിച്ച ആയുഷ്മാൻ ഭാരത് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഗുണഭോക്താക്കളെ പിഴിയുന്ന സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രികളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് ചെറിയതോതിൽ എങ്കിലും തടയിടുവാൻ കേന്ദ്ര ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് രംഗത്ത് വന്നിട്ടുള്ളത് ആശ്വാസകരമാണ്. ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രികളുടെ സ്ഥിരമായ തട്ടിപ്പുകളും ഇൻഷുറൻസ് പദ്ധതി വഴിയുള്ള കൊള്ളയും പൂർണമായും തടയുന്നതിന് കാര്യങ്ങൾ പരിശോധിക്കുന്നതിനും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതിനും കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാർ തന്നെ ഒരു സ്ഥിരം സംവിധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും ഏറ്റവും ഉചിതമായ നടപടി. അത് ഉണ്ടാകാത്തപക്ഷം ഇപ്പോൾ നടപടികൾക്ക് വിധേയർ ആയിട്ടുള്ള ആശുപത്രികൾ പോലും ഒരു ചെറിയ കാലയളവിനു ശേഷം വീണ്ടും തട്ടിപ്പുകളുമായി രംഗത്ത് വരും എന്ന കാര്യം ഉറപ്പാണ്……It is a relief that the Union Health Department has come forward to at least curb the activities of private hospitals that are exploiting the beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme launched by the Union Government in terms of medical insurance. The most appropriate step would be for the Union Government itself to create a permanent system to check and investigate the matters to completely stop the constant frauds and looting through the insurance scheme by such private hospitals. If that is not done, it is certain that even the hospitals that have been subjected to action now will come forward with frauds again after a short period of time……
