ED has summoned Poonam Jain, wife of Satyendar Jain in a money laundering case in which her husband has been arrested. Poonam Jain to appear at its headquarters on July 14 for addressing in a supposed illegal tax avoidance case, ED authorities said on Friday.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has blamed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Jain, his wife and others of commission of offenses under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Jain was arrested on May 30 under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and was first sent to police custody and from there on in judicial authority.
