ED issues notice to Mahesh Babu in money laundering case linked to real estate scam | Aap Ki Khabar
According to lates reports, ED has called Mahesh Babu for questioning on 27th or 28th April. But the question is what does ED want from Mahesh Babu? Actually, investigation has revealed that Mahesh Babu had taken a total of Rs 5.9 crore to promote the projects of Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group. Out of this, Rs 3.4 crore was given through cheque and Rs 2.5 crore in cash. ED suspects that this cash amount of Rs 2.5 crore may be a part of laundered money, that is, this money may have come from those fraudulent practices through which these companies cheated investors. According to reports, Mahesh Babu had worked in the advertisements of these companies and endorsed their projects, due to which his name came up in this case. But it is important to make one thing clear here – ED has not made Mahesh Babu an accused yet. He has only been called for questioning, so that it can be found out how and why these payments were made. ED is also investigating whether Mahesh Babu was aware that these companies were involved in the fraud. Now the question arises whether Mahesh Babu deliberately promoted these companies, or did he himself become a victim of this fraud?
