On February 6, 2024, police responded to a Target store after loss prevention staff detained a woman suspected of repeated shoplifting. The suspect, a known offender, was defensive and provided inconsistent excuses, claiming the theft was to fund her aunt’s birthday and medical expenses. CCTV footage and a search of her belongings confirmed the theft, leading to her arrest. The stolen items were recovered, and she was transported to the station for further processing. She later faced charges of petit theft and fraud in court, with the evidence solidifying the case against her.
