27 मार्च को पटना, बिहार में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए कई विभागों के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की। यह कार्रवाई IAS संजीव हंस के खिलाफ हुई जांच के बाद सामने आए नए घोटालों की छानबीन के तहत की गई थी।
संजीव हंस, जो 1997 बैच के बिहार कैडर के IAS अधिकारी हैं, ने अपने करियर में जल संसाधन और ऊर्जा विभाग जैसे अहम पदों पर कार्य किया। उन्होंने गंगाजल आपूर्ति योजना और स्मार्ट प्रीपेड मीटर योजना जैसी परियोजनाओं को भी लागू किया। लेकिन, उन पर भ्रष्टाचार और मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के गंभीर आरोप लगे, जिसके चलते ED ने उन्हें टेंडर घोटाले के मामले में गिरफ्तार किया।
संजीव हंस पर ठेकेदारों से रिश्वत लेकर टेंडर पास करने, बेनामी संपत्तियां खरीदने और रिश्वत के रूप में मर्सिडीज कार लेने के आरोप हैं। इसके अलावा, एक महिला के शोषण और सोलर लाइट खरीद घोटाले में भी उनका नाम आया है। लगातार छापेमारी में करोड़ों की संपत्ति और अन्य सबूत मिले हैं। फिलहाल, वे निलंबित हैं और मामले की जांच जारी है।

On March 27, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted massive raids in Patna, Bihar, targeting several top officials from different departments. This operation was part of the ongoing investigation into multiple scams that surfaced after action was taken against IAS Sanjeev Hans.
A 1997 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, Sanjeev Hans has held key positions in the Water Resources and Energy Departments. He played a crucial role in projects like the Ganga Jal Supply Scheme and Smart Prepaid Meter Initiative. However, he was accused of corruption and money laundering, leading to his arrest by the ED in connection with a tender scam.
He allegedly accepted bribes from contractors to pass tenders, acquired benami properties, and received a Mercedes car as a kickback. Additionally, his name has surfaced in cases related to exploitation of a woman and irregularities in solar light procurement. The ED’s continuous raids have uncovered assets worth crores along with key evidence. Currently, he is suspended, and the investigation is ongoing.
