On behalf of the United States, I extend our congratulations to the people of the Republic of the Congo on the 66th anniversary of its independence.

We are proud of our historic collaboration, which began over six decades ago when the United States recognized the Republic of the Congo on the day of its independence. I look forward to furthering our partnership by strengthening our countries’ commercial and security relationship for the welfare of our citizens.
