Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met today with Canadian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arun Thangaraj to discuss bilateral and regional issues, including coordinated efforts to ensure Ebola does not reach North America. Deputy Secretary Landau recognized Canada’s support for the Gang Suppression Force in Haiti and urged support for the Cuban people who are in desperate need of change from the corrupt Communist dictatorship that has held absolute power in Cuba for the past 67 years.
