🚨 This is not REAL! 🚨
But, it’s getting harder and harder to determine what is real and what is fake, especially with AI and ads that are pushing these fake stories. In 2024 alone, investment fraud cost Canadians $310 million!
And don’t think that this is just affecting us “oldies.” There’s an upward trend in investment scams among younger people as well. We all need to be taking the extra steps to protect ourselves and our hard-earned dollars.
I also want to give a huge thank you to Christopher Matugas, Private Wealth Manager with Raymond James here in Calgary for bringing this scam to my attention. He’s had MULTIPLE clients reach out to him asking about the “new Canadian crypto” so this is happening. As he said in the video, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
