*DEFENCE EXPORTS*
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed confidence that India’s defence exports will reach 50,000 crore rupees by 2030. He was speaking at the ‘Marathwada – Atmanirbhar Bharat Ki Raksha Bhoomi’ dialogue session organised by the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture – CMIA at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra on Friday. Highlighting the achievements of the Modi government, Mr Singh pointed out a remarkable forty-fold increase in defence exports during the current administration’s tenure.He informed that in 2014, India’s defence exports stood at around 600 crore rupees, which today surged to 24,000 crore rupees.

*BANGLADESH-HINDU LEADER KILLED*
In Bangladesh, a prominent Hindu community leader of Biral upazila in Dinajpur district was allegedly abducted from his home and beaten to death on Thursday afternoon. The deceased, Bhabesh Chandra Roy, 58, was the vice-president of the Biral unit of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad and was a prominent leader of the Hindu community in the area. According to family members, four men arrived on two motorcycles and allegedly abducted Bhabesh from the premises. The Daily Star, leading English newspaper of Bangladesh reports that witnesses reported seeing the men taking him to Narabari village, where he was brutally assaulted. Later that evening, the attackers reportedly sent Bhabesh’s unconscious body back to his home in a van. He was later taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

*SANSKRITI KA PAANCHVA ADHYAY*
A book titled Sanskriti Ka Panchva Adhyay, a compilation of speeches delivered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on various occasions, was launched in New Delhi on Friday. The head of the Juna Akhara, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri, launched the book. Presiding over the event, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Harivansh, lauded Mr Modi’s efforts in preserving the country’s culture, traditions, spiritual values, and cultural heritage.

*NO GST ON UPI*
The Government of India stated that claims suggesting that the Government is considering levying GST on UPI transactions over two thousand rupees are completely false, misleading, and without any basis. In a statement, the Finance Ministry clarified that currently, no such proposal is under consideration by the Government. The Finance Ministry reiterated that the Government remains committed to promoting digital payments through UPI. To support and sustain the growth of UPI, an Incentive Scheme has been operational since the Financial Year 2021-22.

*NYISHI DAY*
Chief Minister Pema Khandu greeted the Nyishi community on Nyishi Day. In a social media Post Khandu said that Nyishi Day is not just a celebration of a name, but of our heritage, unity, and the enduring spirit of our ancestors. It reminds us of how far we’ve come and the strength that lies in knowing who we truly are. He also said that this day marks the moment when the community reclaimed its rightful identity. Nyishi Elite Society is celebrating the Nyishi Day at its headquarter with a day long programm.

*ARUNACHAL STATE GAMES TO BECOME ANNUAL EVENT: CM*
Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday announced that the Arunachal State Games will henceforth be held annually, as he officially declared open the 4th edition of the Games during an inaugural ceremony at the Golden Jubilee Outdoor Stadium at Yupia in Papum Pare district. Giving another boost to the sports infrastructure in the state, Khandu informed that a new world-class stadium with 25000 capacity will come up in near future within the state capital. Boxing world champion and Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain, who attended the event as the guest of honour, urged the competitors to “stay focused on your goals.”

*WORLD LIVER DAY*
World Liver Day is being observed across the globe today to raise awareness about liver diseases and encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle by avoiding oily and greasy foods. According to the World Health Organization, liver ailments are the 10th most common cause of death in India. Diseases like Hepatitis B, C and hepatocellular carcinoma often occur because of poor lifestyle choices, including excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs, prolonged intake of unhealthy foods, a sedentary lifestyle, and lack of exercise.

*ONLINE FRAUD ALERT*
The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre under the Ministry of Home Affairs today issued a public alert regarding online booking frauds, particularly those targeting religious pilgrims and tourists across the country. The Ministry in a statement said that people have been advised to exercise extreme caution and always verify the authenticity of websites before making any payments. People are warned to exercise caution while clicking on sponsored or unknown links on Google, Facebook, or WhatsApp.
