Gujjar Community Demands Justice After Alleged Deaths and Police Misconduct in Anantnag.
Sarankote, Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir – A wave of outrage has swept through the Gujjar community following the alleged deaths of three youths in Anantnag, Kashmir, and subsequent accusations of police ill-treatment towards their families.
Led by Mohammad Aslam Kohli, President of the International Gujjar Mahasabha Jammu Kashmir Ladakh UT, residents of Sarankote tehsil, District Poonch, held a peaceful protest today, demanding immediate government action against their concerned Dysp other police personals and justice for the deceased.
“We are deeply saddened and angered by the tragic loss of these young lives,” stated President Kohli during a press conference held after the protest. “The alleged actions of the police, including the ill-treatment of grieving families, are unacceptable and demand a thorough and impartial investigation.”
The protestors voiced their strong condemnation of the incident, calling for:
