Casino operator SkyCity Entertainment has agreed to pay a $67 million penalty to settle a money laundering case against its Adelaide casino.

SkyCity told the market this afternoon that it has reached an agreement with anti-money laundering regulator AUSTRAC to resolve the civil proceedings commenced back in December 2022, which were related to historical non-compliance by SkyCity Adelaide with the Australian anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.

The deal is subject to Federal Court approval.

SkyCity executive chairman Julian Cook said he was pleased to have reached an agreement with the regulator.
