Prince Harry is in talks with Netflix about making a Diana documentary to mark the 30th anniversary of his mother’s death in 2027.
Prince Harry will be offered the chance to make a documentary to mark the 30th anniversary of his mother Princess Diana’s death, a senior Hollywood source has revealed.
The two or three-part series would air in 2027, three decades after Diana was killed in a horrific car crash in Paris in August 1997, as part of a new long-term Netflix deal for the Sussexes, inset.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been offered a new contract for another documentary which would follow the story of Princess Diana’s death. The documentary would mark the 30th anniversary of her passing, says a source. It would air in 2027 as part of a new Netflix deal for the Sussexes.

The Independent understands that Prince Harry has not been approached by Netflix to make a three-part documentary series about the death of his mother, Princess Diana, despite earlier reports.
Over the weekend, U.K. tabloids suggested the proposed documentary — marking the 30th anniversary of Diana’s death — would form part of a new long-term deal with the Sussexes.
Harry and Meghan Markle’s five-year, $100 million partnership with Netflix, established in 2020, is scheduled to expire later this year.
Princess Diana died in August 1997 in Paris after she was involved in a car crash. A Los Angeles source said: “The idea is that it would be a solo project for Harry, who would be a co-executive producer as well as hosting and narrating the series.”
