After over seven hours of questioning, the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday arrested Hemant Soren in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam. Soren was taken into probe agency’s custody minutes after he tendered his resignation as Jharkhand Chief Minister to the Governor. In the wake of his arrest, the ruling JMM-led coalition proposed the name of senior leader and minister Champai Soren to lead the state.
