ACTA concludes training programme on religious institutions, their role in promoting integrity

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), in cooperation with Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), concluded a three-day training programme on religious institutions and their role in promoting integrity and transparency at the QFBA headquarters.

The programme targeted the departments concerned with planning and mosques in the Ministry of Endowments, religious institutions, and those in charge of public speaking and preaching lessons. Also, the programme introduced participants to the culture of integrity and transparency in its international aspect and the role of religious institutions through the development of institutional building and community awareness in combating corruption and promoting integrity.

The programme explained to the participants how to benefit from the United Nations Convention against Corruption for the development of the state and building the human according to the best human standards in honesty, integrity, and transparency. Also, it clarified the culture of anti-fraud and bribery and explained avoiding the abuse of influence for personal purposes and administrative and financial wrongdoing in daily transactions.

The training programme comes within the framework of the ACTA development plan to enhance the capabilities of public officials, raise their efficiency, and provide them with the knowledge that advances their scientific and practical capabilities in the areas of integrity, transparency, and prevention of corruption, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, especially concerning human development.

ACTA has developed educational and training programmes to educate state employees, train them on the use of advanced methods to detect corruption, and prepare them to cooperate with the Authority in this field. The Authority, in cooperation with national training centres and institutions, has implemented programmes and training courses in many fields.
