š„ Description: The Justice Department just quietly deleted the National Law Enforcement Accountability Databaseāthe same one meant to track federal police misconduct. This database was originally proposed by Donald Trump in 2020 (before he backtracked) and later implemented under Biden. Now, just over a year later, itās gone.
This means officers with misconduct records can move between agencies without oversight. So why did the DOJ decide to shut it down? And what does this mean for police accountability moving forward?
What do you think? Is this a huge step backward for public safety, or is there a legitimate reason behind this move? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
