SIU saves state billions in medical legal corruption



The Special Investigating Unit has told Parliament’s Standing
Committee on Public Accounts that it saved the state from losing over
R3 billion in medical legal corruption.

Over 50 cases of fraud by scrupulous lawyers were picked up during the
95 investigations conducted.

SIU spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago explains further.
