A Cop’s Voice provides insight and commentary into the policies and procedures of law enforcement by analyzing publicly released, public domain police body camera footage. This commentary and information is newsworthy and in the public interest considering the scrutiny and public debate surrounding police bodycam footage in recent times. Due to the recent, widespread issuance of body cameras to law enforcement and the release of police bodycam footage by police, many questions and concerns have been raised by the public that have generally gone unanswered. A Cop’s Voice aims to educate and inform the public as to why police may take, or not take, certain actions during the course of their duties. The footage is analyzed “as is” from the limited, static view of the police body camera, without knowing all the facts, just as a member of the general public would watch it. Commentary is directed at the actions of the police involved. All individuals in the footage are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Precedent for this type of channel has been set by channels such as Real World Police, Code Blue Cam, Bodycam files, etc. This channel provides unique commentary and analysis of the footage that is newsworthy and in the public interest as described above.
