Democrats have been anchoring on the scandal surrounding House Bill 6 as they campaign in Ohio, and have proposed a group of bills that they say will deal with corruption in state government – the latest, a bill to ban statewide officeholders from holding down a job in the private sector or serving in any paid position. It’s aimed squarely at Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, who was elected by his fellow shareholders to the board of directors of Heartland Bank earlier this year.
