Vietnam mounts US$24b bailout of lender tied to country's biggest fraud case

A multi-billion dollar bailout of the Saigon Commercial Bank has reportedly been launched by Vietnam’s central bank. The lender is at the centre of the country’s biggest financial fraud case. Analysts say that while a rescue could save the troubled commercial bank, the scale of the bailout could cost the country dearly. CNA’s Tung Ngo has more.
