NSW police officer charged with manslaughter over taser death of Clare Nowland | ABC News

Charges against a police officer accused of fatally tasering a 95-year-old woman in a regional New South Wales nursing home have been upgraded to manslaughter.
Clare Nowland, who had dementia, died in Cooma Hospital on May 24, a week after allegedly being tasered by Senior Constable Kristian White at her Yallambee Lodge nursing home.
The charges were upgraded on the advice of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, NSW Police said.
