Wife of Bullhead City Police Officer Marvin Harris, Devon Harris pleaded guilty to theft for using a debit card on dozens of occasions to withdraw more than $15,000 from an association bank account over a 2½-year period ending in spring 2013.

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A 90-day jail sentence was imposed Thursday for a police officer’s wife and former dispatcher who looted funds while serving as treasurer of the Bullhead City Police Officer’s Association.
Devon Harris, 36, of Laughlin, was also placed on probation for three years and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
Harris pleaded guilty to theft for using a debit card on dozens of occasions to withdraw more than $15,000 from an association bank account over a 2½-year period ending in spring 2013.
“You made 83 bad choices when you took money that did not belong to you,” said Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Williams.
Harris resigned her dispatcher position at the start of the embezzlement investigation.
Her husband, Marvin, is still employed as a police officer with the department.
