Congress leader Sachin Pilot, on April 11, sat on a five-hour fast in Jaipur to protest against chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s alleged failure to investigate their party’s corruption charges against former CM Vasundhara Raje of the BJP. But by the end of the fast, realising that he risked his unilateral move being declared as anti-party activity by the Congress high command, Pilot expanded his corruption charges to the entire BJP, including the Narendra Modi government and the Karnataka dispensation.
