Most tips from the description of the Civil Servant video (www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrLEVl-Ys6w&list=PLM36E9SYRRp6qgH14XvxT_QQxyipepzYU&index=1) apply here.

Additional Tips:
1. The Economist I feel is one of the weaker governors of the game because you only receive your entire budget at one time in the year. If you ran out of funds early, you’ll be in big trouble. Also the inflation-lowering initiative that’s exclusive to the Economist is useless if you know how to manage your inflation. In the video, I never had any trouble with inflation.
2. As I can observe, the Economist seems to gather more corruption than the Civil Servant. Get more Anti-Corruption initiatives if possible.
3. Try to save maybe around 15-20$ for events that need attention.
4. If the locals aren’t asking for anything (Region tab on the lower right of screen), try getting more Infrastructure initiatives (e.g. Dirt Roads and Main Roads) since they also help your military in dealing with insurgents.
5. If you got many soldiers idle, try going for the Civil Assistance and Civil Integration under the Military tab to rollout initiatives faster (4:30). Send extra soldiers in regions that are unstable.
5. Only go after the insurgents after you’ve stabilized all the zones (except for the ones that the insurgents are occupying). That way, their Insurgent Bases can’t respawn. Also, Insurgent Bases can’t spawn in places your soldiers are standing. Make sure to have soldiers in unstable zones because the game will most certainly spawn an Insurgent Base the moment your soldiers leave them.
