The group, faithful America has started an online petition where they have received signatures from over 17,000 Christians in the United States calling on Republican representative Boebert, to not just resign, but to also repent over her recent disgusting comments about President Biden. Faithful America, of course, is a Christian organization. Um, but they got a little angry at Lauren Boebert when she said recently, uh, at a church, storehouse church in Dallas last month. She said, quote, that’s all right. We pray for our presidents, let his days beef you and another take his office. That’s why I filed articles of impeachment for Joe Biden. Unfortunately, he does have a really great insurance policy named Kamala Harris. Now, she made a similar comment, you know, with that same prayer, let his days be few when another take his office. She did that last summer as well. And both times a lot of people interpreted it to mean that, oh my God, she’s praying for Joe Biden to die.
Um, but in the most recent ones, she learned from her past mistakes and immediately was like, that’s why I filed articles of impeachment. You know, so his days would be few. I’m not saying you should die, I’m just saying you should be impeached. Um, so she tried to, you know, have a CYA moment right there. But these Christian groups, they see right through it because it’s not just bad that you are praying for him to be removed from office somehow, it’s that you’re preaching at an actual church politics. I mean, here is what they say in the complaint. Uh, representative Lauren Boebert is known for weaponizing religion to seize power and restrict the rights of anyone different than her. But she just took the heretical twisting of faith to an entirely new level by appearing to actually pray for Joe Biden’s death. They continue, Jesus includes everyone and teaches love and peace, not death and political violence.
Let’s call for Bobbitt’s resignation and show that a nationwide Christian movement is sick and tired of right wing politicians abusing prayer for power. They also said they’re calling on her to repent for quote, uh, weaponizing our faith as a political tool. Now, again, I think at least with the recent one, it’s difficult to say she was actually praying for his death because she did follow it up by saying impeachment. But either way, this group is right, because it’s not just about what she said or how she said it or whether she covered herself well or not. It is the fact that you are weaponizing religion to influence politics to further your political
Career. Hey, by the way, there’s literally people in the Bible that did that, and the story doesn’t end too well for them. Lauren, maybe you ought to pick up that book actually and read it. You know, I just, I can’t believe that there’s so many people, by the way, who claim to be Christians inserting their Christianity into politics that clearly never have read the Bible, cuz it’s not too fond of things like that. But either way, this group is right. I like what they’re doing. I do not think Lauren Bobert is going to resign or repent, but keep the pressure on her and keep spreading the word with the Christian community in the United States, and hopefully you can convince them that people like Bobert need to go. I mean, she’s up for reelection every two years being a member of the house. She’s not gonna resign, but you can keep the heat on for another 18 months and maybe make a difference in that next election.
