Regardless of the actual facility, the life of those incarcerated have much in common aside from the minor differences in local policy and procedures that cause the slight differences in the lockdown experience.
We see the television shows that thrive on the sensationalism that attract the viewers but give a false measure of what it’s really like to wake up each and every day knowing that you will be right there for the next several years depending on the sentence.
But what is it really like to be incarcerated?
What does one do to pass the time along?
Is it really like those intense prison movies that seem to contain the rapid fire succession of action that keeps us glued to the couch observing the murders, rapes and scandals that prison life is supposed to contain?
