By Anagha Kesav: Former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah reiterated his demand for a commission to be formed under the Supreme Court to probe charges of corruption against both the Congress and the BJP.

This comes after Amit Shah, while in Karnataka in December 2022, slammed the Congress and said that if the party came to power in the state, both Delhi and Karnataka would become its ATM.

Meanwhile, Congress has demanded a probe into the 40 per cent commission allegation against the BJP. Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah, while in New Delhi on Tuesday, demanded that a separate commission be formed under the SC to probe the charges of corruption against both the BJP and Congress.

“They have levelled ATM charges against us. We have levelled 40% commission charges. I told BJP people to form a commission with a supreme court judge with charges against both of us. I have said this multiple times,” said Siddaramaiah on Tuesday.

“BJP questions if we have courage and guts. Let them form a commission then. Why can’t they do it? Why are you scared if you are sons of Satya Harishchandra?” questioned the former chief minister of Karnataka.

BJP MIN PRASIES SIDDARAMAIAH

Meanwhile, Karnataka BJP minister Narayan Gowda praised Siddaramaiah and said, “I have immense respect for Siddaramaiah. He gave funds upto Rs 40 crore for the development of my Taluk. I have respect for him. I won’t criticize or make comments against him. When you’re in a party, it is your duty to seek votes from that party, but we won’t criticize seniors.”
