Moldova Anti-Government Rally: Demonstrators protest against corruption amid banking scandal

Thousands in Moldova’s capital held a protest demanding an investigation into more than USD 1 billion that has gone missing from the country’s state-owned savings bank and demanding the government do more to implement European reforms.

Protesters and opposition members, furious at the missing money scandal, demanded answers from the government about issues of corruption.
