A circa 1990 promotional VHS tape for Nu Skin, a multi-level marketing (MLM) pyramid scheme selling skin care products. Except, you never get to see those products, because the point of this video was not to sell the products, it was to sell the selling. Nu Skin has been sued numerous times by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, various U.S. states, and the Chinese government, but yet is somehow still in business today, even though 93% of its distributors don’t earn any commission in a typical month.
