On September 26th, 2023, Tallahassee Police investigated a woman trying to cash a suspicious $23,892 check at a Florida pawn shop. She claimed it was for missing wages from the US Treasury.

On September 27th, 2023, the West Palm Beach police investigated a “rock in salad” scam at the Avocado Grill restaurant. They uncovered a team of women attempting to swindle the establishment.
