‘The View’ co-host Sunny Hostin’s husband accused of insurance fraud

Dr Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Hostin, husband of The View star Sunny Hostin, has been accused of insurance fraud.

According to a sweeping federal lawsuit filed last month, the surgeon and his practice, Hostin Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, were named.

Hostin and his practice were among 180 defendants named in a large RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) case filed in New York.

According to The Daily Mail, the orthopaedic surgeon and other defendants allegedly received “kickbacks”.

The defendants allegedly received “kickbacks” for performing surgery and falsely billing an insurance company.

“Hostin knowingly provided fraudulent medical and other healthcare services, including arthroscopic surgeries,” the lawsuit read.

According to The Daily Mail, they revealed the American Transit Insurance Company filed the lawsuit.

Hostin’s attorney, Daniel Thwaites, reached out to The Daily Mail and asserted that his client denies all allegations.

Thwaites slammed the lawsuit filing as a “blanket, scattershot, meritless lawsuit by a near-bankrupt insurance carrier”.
