Actress Tamannaah Bhatia was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Guwahati regarding a money laundering probe related to the HPZ Token app. The app allegedly duped investors by falsely promising large returns through cryptocurrency mining. Bhatia’s statement was recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). She had received an appearance fee for attending an event linked to the app company, though no incriminating charges were found against her. The ED investigation follows an FIR lodged by Nagaland’s Cyber Crime Police Station.
