Steward Health Care under federal investigation for fraud, corruption

Steward Health Care, a major hospital chain that recently filed for bankruptcy, is being investigated by federal authorities in Boston for fraud and potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, according to two sources familiar with the probe.
