On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people and government of Seychelles on the 49th anniversary of your independence. 

The United States is pleased to work with you towards bolstering maritime security in the western Indian Ocean and we support the Seychellois government’s efforts to combat drug trafficking.  We look forward to our continued collaboration on fostering investment opportunities and growing our economic relationship.
