Ashley Lamb with the Albemarle Commission Area Agency on Aging gave a presentation about senior healthcare fraud at the “How to Spot a Scam” event that was held at the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center on August 6, 2024.
This free event—which was geared specifically toward older adults in the Dare County community, as well as their family members and caregivers—was designed to empower attendees by providing them with knowledge on protecting themselves and their families from various scams, encompassing cybercrime, mail fraud, identity theft, Medicare fraud, banking and investments.
