Senator Menendez Convicted on 16 Counts-He Hid Gold Bars Where?

After a two month jury trial, Senator Menendez has been convicted of 16 crimes, convicted of bribery. He has been found guilty in federal court on all 16 criminal counts. The counts on which he was found guilty included bribery, conspiracy to commit extortion, acting as a foreign agent (for Egypt), obstruction and other serious charges. Menendez received over $400,000 of bribes in the form of gold bars, cash stuffed envelopes, and a Mercedes convertible.

Where did he stuff the gold bars and cash? Watch a real lawyer you know briefly explain where-it will shock you.

In summary, Menendez sold the power of his position of trust, his legislative office, for money and improper influence. Menendez has said the jury was wrong and that he plans to appeal the verdict and the conviction. But the Senate may vote on expulsion first, as Democrats have called on him to resign. #crime #law #trial #conviction
