Secretary Rubio’s Meeting with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.  They discussed President Trump’s historic visit and the importance of the U.S.-UAE strategic partnership to promote security and prosperity.

The Secretary thanked the Foreign Minister for the UAE’s provision of humanitarian assistance and highlighted the imperative of ensuring that Hamas can never rule Gaza or threaten Israel again.  They discussed other regional issues, including Syria and Sudan.
