Secretary Rubio’s Meeting with Jordanian Foreign Minister Safadi

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi. The Secretary and Foreign Minister discussed a range of bilateral and regional issues, including the Iranian regime’s ongoing attacks on shipping and against countries in the region. The Secretary condemned those attacks, including Iran’s unacceptable strikes on Jordanian territory. Secretary Rubio thanked Foreign Minister Safadi for Jordan’s important role in advancing regional security.
