Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with new UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper. The Secretary congratulated the Foreign Secretary on her new position, and they agreed to continue the long tradition of close U.S.-UK cooperation on critical issues. The Secretary underscored President Trump’s commitment to ending the Russia-Ukraine war. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary also underscored their shared commitment to ensuring that Iran never obtains or develops a nuclear weapon.
