Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary Lammy discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza and efforts to reach a ceasefire – despite Hamas’s obstructionism – and bring the hostages home. On the Russia-Ukraine war, both the Secretary and Foreign Secretary agreed the war must be brought to an end. Both the Secretary and Foreign Secretary reiterated their commitment to ensuring that Iran never develops or acquires a nuclear weapon. They also discussed the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
