Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Secretary and the Foreign Minister discussed the ongoing implementation of Phase Two of President Trump’s Gaza peace plan. They also spoke about developments in Yemen and the importance of countering the threat posed by Iranian regime-backed Houthi terrorists. The Secretary and the Foreign Minister continued their engagement on Sudan and the urgent need for a humanitarian ceasefire. They agreed to continue coordination in support of regional security and stability and remain in close contact.
