Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with Kazakhstan Deputy Prime Minister-Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu to emphasize the U.S. commitment to Kazakhstan’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and a closer bilateral relationship. Secretary Rubio and Deputy Prime Minister-Foreign Minister Nurtleu highlighted the U.S. Enhanced Strategic Partnership with Kazakhstan and noted Kazakhstan’s commitment to promoting economic diversification and transparency. The United States looks forward to working with Kazakhstan to deepen economic ties in the energy, telecommunications, and critical minerals sectors.
