On behalf of the United States, I extend my warm congratulations to the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis as you celebrate 42 years of independence.

The United States is proud to stand with Saint Kitts and Nevis as a partner in advancing regional security and economic growth. Through the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative, we are working together to counter illicit trafficking, dismantle transnational crime, and strengthen border security to address illegal immigration. These efforts protect Americans and the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis, enhance regional stability, and create opportunities for greater investment and private-sector growth.
