A Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy was fired after suffering a overdose in a sheriff’s office restroom.
The sheriff’s office said on October 24, 2023, deputy Marvin Morales was found unresponsive in a stall in a Central Division office restroom by his fellow deputies, who treated him with Narcan. He was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
An internal affairs investigation was launched as narc – later revealed to be fent- were found on the scene, and other evidence showed Morales had used the drugs intentionally.
