• Allege “crime” Interference with public duties
(Case Dismissed No Probable Cause)
December 3, 2024
• While commuting, I observed what appeared to be a police officer committing a crime.
•I initiated a roadside investigation and commenced documentation of the scene.
• Officer Williams never instructed me to retreat. His only directions were to “mind my own business” and “stop talking.”
• During my on-scene investigation and video recording, I informed Officer Williams that his actions and conduct were unlawful.
• An unmarked vehicle arrived on the scene with emergency lights activated.
• Mr. Saul Luera exited an unmarked vehicle that had improperly activated its emergency lights.
•Mr. Saul Luera failed to identify himself as a law enforcement officer when initiating contact.
• Following a 33-second interaction with an unidentified male, Saul Luera, I was unlawfully apprehended.
• While handcuffed in the back of the police vehicle, I observed Mr. Saul Luera shouting at Officer Williams, demanding to know why the officer had not instructed the subject to retreat.
• During transport to the city and subsequently the county jail, Officers Williams and Saul Luera neglected to secure me with a seatbelt, resulting in nerve damage to my right hand from handcuff-related injuries despite my pleas for assistance. This incident represents a clear disregard for my health and safety.

• The magistrate determined there was insufficient probable cause, resulting in my release that evening.
• Following my release from incarceration, I was transported via ambulance from the jail lobby to a local hospital for evaluation of a right-hand injury.
