Police Inspector, Head Constable Held in Bribery Case by ACB

The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) on Monday arrested Police Inspector Sunil Gudlar, who was in charge of the Konkan Railway Police Station at Margao, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹25,000.

According to officials, the bribe was taken from a meat trader based in Karnataka. Head Constable Hussain has also been arrested in connection with the case. Both officers were allegedly involved in soliciting the bribe, prompting the trader to approach the ACB.

Acting swiftly on the complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed. Investigations are currently underway to determine the extent of their involvement and whether others are linked to the case.
