The Police Accountability Board (PAB) is seeking public input on the Cost of Misconduct, a Proposal for Change.

The PAB analyzed civil claims and settlements involving the Rochester Police Department. In addition to other findings, the report revealed that, since 2011, the city has spent more than twice its allocated budget on civil claims. Misconduct claims against the RPD make up 52% of those costs.

To view the Cost of Misconduct report and participate online visit RocPAB.org/CostofMisconduct. Feedback can also be submitted via email at PABFeedback@cityofrochester.gov, and by leaving a message at 585-428-7866.

The public comment period is open September 9, through October 9, 2024.
