A report by police watchdog Ipid has revealed that over 5 000 cases of
police-related incidents were recorded in the 2023/2024 financial
year. The cases range from rape, assault and torture.
The DA says it will launch an investigation to establish how alleged abuses and misconduct by police members were left to occur and what steps were
taken against implicated officers.
