NAB Arrests Shahbaz Sharif in Money Laundering Case From LHC

Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president, arrested in a money laundering case from the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials took him into custody from the court premises after his bail plea was rejected. The two-judge bench of the court rejected the bail petition filed by Pakistan’s Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly on charges of money-laundering and maintaining assets beyond known sources of income. PML-N leaders and supporters came onto the streets to protest the arrest.
