Fugitive diamond merchant Mehul Choksi has been arrested in Belgium. Choksi, along with his nephew Nirav Modi, is wanted for allegedly defrauding Punjab National Bank of 14,000 crore rupees. The fraud involved issuing fraudulent letters of undertaking from 2011 to 2017. Choksi fled India in January 2018 when an FIR was about to be lodged against him.
